Susan E. Brunner

Brunner, 59 of Amsterdam, Missouri passed away September 19, 2016 at her home in the Merwin area.  A Celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Amsterdam Community Building, in Amsterdam, Missouri.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Mullinax Funeral Home (660-679-0009).  Contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Susan Brunner Memorial Fund c/o Citizens Bank.  Messages of condolence may be left for the family at http://www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com

Susan Elaine Brunner was born July 30, 1957 in Paola, Kansas to Raymond and Juanita Champlin Dyer.  She attended both Drexel and Miami Schools.  Susan was a proud member of the Local Laborer’s Union 1290.  Susan was her own person, she simply lived life the way that she wanted, enjoying her flowers, cats, sewing, crafts, and gardening.   She also liked canning and preserving.  One of Susan’s greatest loves in her life was her family, each of them brighten her life in there own way.  She loved her kids, her grandkids especially and all her dear friends.  Susan was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Dyer, grandparents, Dean and Thelma Champlin, and Lillian Huenefeldt.  She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Lowe and husband Raymond, and Amy MacLeod, son Tom Hackler and wife Kyla, mother Juanita Dyer, brothers, Clifford, Roger, and Raymond Dyer, sister Janet Lane, and grandchildren, Baxter, Jessie, Isabel, Brooke, Tommy, Korbin, Kadee, Shane, Shelby, John, Abby, and Alex.

  1. Sue was a unique and wonderful woman. She was always straight forward with her words to me. Never had to second guess what she was really thinking. I admire that quality. So many of us send mixed messages.. But not Sue. She stood up for what was right and she didnt back down in confrontation . She was strong and she was determined, but she was also loving and soft. The world could use more women like Sue. Rest in Peace” Sue down the road. ” My deepest condolences to the family .

I’m at a loss for words… Didn’t know she had became ill till the day before this happened I wish I had known … You all are in my prayers n I know she will be very missed in this lol area we call home! She always made me feel as if I belonged here n I know I was ment to be here. Thank you Susan for that! ❤️❤️
