Joseph E. Weeks

In Loving MemoryJoseph Earl Weeks, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family February 8, 2015 in Spring Hill, Kansas.  Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 11th at Mullinax Funeral Home – Drexel Chapel (660)679-0009 with Chaplain Richard Russell from Grace Hospice officiating.  No visitation has been scheduled.  Contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice http://www.gracehospicekc.com.  Messages of condolence for the family may be left at http://www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com

Joe was born on November 18, 1949 in Springfield, MO.  He graduated from Gardner High School in 1967 and was a U.S. army veteran.  He worked for forty years in the telecom industry as a cable splicer and fiber optic technician for various phone companies until owning and operating his own telephone contracting company.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Weeks, of the home, mother Betty Weeks of Bella Vista, AR, daughter and son-in-law, Cricket and Jeff Owens of Spring Hill, KS, son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Monika Weeks of St. Louis Park, MN, sisters Karen Weeks, and Robin Galiley, and grandchildren Tori, Jonah, Jason, and Shannon.

    So sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. We enjoyed working with him on many projects with Peoples Telecommunications. Joe had such an easy personality and attitude. He will be missed.

  3. Dear Linda and family , so very sorry to hear of your loss . I got aquainted with Joe when he worked for the phone company in Louisburg. I have met you Linda but its been quite awhile back . You have my deepest sympathy during this sad time . Joe was a good human being …proud to call him a friend .
