  3. My name is Teresa and W used to live in butler mo . when i was 13 years old. i just read about Verna Haines and she is my age. It so so sad that life can be so short. i think as a child in Butler mo i knew David and his brother Danny. we were good friends and my brother Dennis was Danny s age. we used to all go to church together in Butler mo. i always wondered what happened to those boys. if i read right it says David is gone too. i am sure these are the same Haines boys i knew and am so sorry for all the sadness.

  4. Hello Teresa, My name is Abby. I am Verna and David’s oldest daughter. You are correct, this is the same Haines boys that you remember. And you are correct, we did lose Daddy back in 2006 after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Feel free to leave another comment if you have any memories of Dad, or Uncle Danny if you wish!

  5. I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with Verna, but the short amount of time I did spend with her, she really touched my heart. She was a wonderful woman. She will be missed by many people. I am certain that she left a mark on many hearts that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

  6. Verna, has always had a wonderful heart, a great outlook, and was a very forgiving person…Loving her children as much as any mother could and more….I can remember one time being at her house she was telling me she lost her teeth in bed and could not find them….yep, you guessed it…they were stuck on Davids back…..God Bless your family Verna, they will miss you terribly and so will I…Thank you for letting me be in your life.

  7. I am truly sorry to hear about Verna. I have good memories of her in school. She always was nice to everyone. I pray for her family and for Verna she was a wonderful person and classmate.
