Grace Veronica Gendron Taylor, 86 of Harrisonville, Mo., died September 23, 2011 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Mo.

Grace was born February 17, 1925 in Worcester, Mass., daughter of Arthur E. and Anna M. Gendron. Grace married Benjamin Isaac Taylor May 16, 1942; they were married 67 years until Benjamin’s death in 2009.

Grace grew up in Worcester with her five sisters: Ruth, Doris, Marjorie, Katherine, Mary and brother Arthur. Grace worked at K-Mart Department Store in South Kansas City as a floor manager for more than 20 years before her retirement.  She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Benjamin; brother; sisters; her children Susan Taylor, Deborah Elliott and Benjamin Taylor. She is survived by two sons: Keith Taylor of Gladstone, Mo., and Logan Taylor of Archie, Mo., one daughter, Joyce Burton of Harrisonville, Mo., 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Cremation, with memorial visitation at 10 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville. Mass of Christain Burial will be at 11 AM with Fr. Christian Malewski as celebrant. Burial will follow in Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville. Memorial contributions are suggested to Adrian Manor, or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

  1. Oh Grandma you are so beautiful! One of the greatest joys of my life!!! I could write for hours but it’s between you and I…after all you know how much I love you, you even had your little “Gracie” to prove it. Have fun up there with my Daddy and Grandpa…when they passed I couldn’t believe I lost both my Ben’s in the same year and now my Grace:( I love you precious! This world will not be the same without your spirit but I thank God you are at peace.
